Frequently asked questions
Can I charge at home?
Yes. A normal home connection charges these cars overnight, full every morning.
Is there fast charging on the island?
Yes, DC fast charging is available. Most cars reach 10-80% in under 30 minutes.
What does the battery warranty cover?
The battery is covered for years, not just the vehicle. See the exact term on each listing.
Are Wuling/Baojun parts available here?
Yes. Our workshop stocks parts locally and services these brands on the island.
What happens if it breaks?
Bring it to our workshop. Warranty work is handled locally, no shipping the car away.
Does an EV really cost less per kilometre than gasoline?
Yes. Charging at home costs a fraction of what you pay at the pump, and there is no oil, no filters and no exhaust to service. On island rates most drivers spend far less per kilometre than on a petrol car of the same size.
Will the salt air hurt the battery?
No. The battery is sealed and temperature managed, so humidity and salt air do not reach the cells. We treat the underbody and check the high-voltage seals at every service, the same care any car needs by the sea.
What about hurricane season?
Charge to full before a storm and park on higher ground away from flood water, like any vehicle. The battery is sealed against rain. If water ever does reach it, bring the car in and we inspect it here.
Do electric cars hold their value here?
Demand for used EVs is growing as more chargers appear and fuel stays expensive. A documented service history from our workshop and a transferable battery warranty both protect what the car is worth when you sell.
Can I own one without a garage or home charger?
Yes. A normal wall socket on a porch or carport charges overnight, and public DC chargers top you up in under half an hour when you are out. Many owners here have no home charger at all and manage fine.
